We had researched the St. Mary’s area and toured several of the local communities before settling in Laurel Island [Plantation]. After meeting with Mr. Clint Miller of Sawyer & Associates, Laurel Island [Plantation] was absolutely our favorite. Working with the knowledgeable and capable members of the Sawyer staff was reassuring. Leaving the Hamptons on Eastern Long Island where we had lived all of our lives was a huge step for us, but we were confident that purchasing property in Fiddler’s Cove was the right move. Clint made himself readily available to us whenever we needed his advice or assistance during the design phase of our home. We were reassured by his knowledge and appreciation for detail. His integrity is impeccable. We were extremely pleased with Mr. Ron Sawyer’s proposal for the construction costs of our home, which was completed under budget. Unbelievably, our land was cleared in April of 2007 and we moved into our custom home on Labor Day weekend, slightly more than four months later. Without fail, during construction, crews worked on our home every day until its completion. Clint was on site every one of those days, overseeing progress. We have been delighted with Sawyer & Associates’ quality of materials and workmanship.

We enjoy very much being a part of the Laurel Island community and friendly Fiddler’s Cove neighborhood. The golf course and restaurant at Laurel Island Links are wonderful and most especially, we look forward to attending the Sawyer Family Barbeques where everyone is made to feel welcome.

We looked at several places before deciding to live here but Laurel Island Plantation just felt like home. At the time of our home search I was eight months pregnant with our daughter Sarah and really wanted her to grow up in a family friendly place, the kind of place where you really get to know your neighbors. We have found that in Laurel Landing and couldn't be happier.

Being in the Navy I am often gone for extended periods of time. The Laurel Island [Plantation] lawn program is perfect for me. I can leave without having to worry about my grass being cut while I'm gone. And when I'm home I still don't have to cut my yard leaving me more free time.

My husband works in Jacksonville but we didn't want to live the "big city" lifestyle. Camden County is an ideal compromise since my husband is still just a short drive from work. We love the charm of the town and our neighborhood. But what really sold me was The Clubhouse at Laurel Island Links. I'm not a golfer but I do enjoy having a restaurant so close. I also love all the Friday night events and the Tuesday wing nights. The Clubhouse has made it really easy to meet new people and make friends in a new town.

I have lived in Camden County all of my life and when I finally became ready to build my dream home I knew I wanted it to be in Laurel Island Plantation. My wife, Ann loves the comfortable feel of the neighborhood but what most impressed me was the quality of construction I found in a Sawyer home. The Sawyer in-house draftsman helped Ann and I customize the design of our home and Clint really made choosing all of the details very easy. We have lived here now for 2 years and are just as pleased with our home today as the day we moved in.
